If your business is young and new, hopefully, you established your core values, instilled your mission statement in your team, and defined what you want your company to represent. Today I’m talking to my salon owners that have been in the business and are running on autopilot. “If ain’t broke, don’t fix it”
Company Info
Over the years my team has been subjected to my marketing classes. We’ve created visions, and goals. They even obliged my elaborate color-coordinating marketing plan. Through it all, we all know why we’re there or do we?
Here & Now
Fast forward to today! Some of my team have been with me for 20+ years. Some days feel a little repetitive. Some days I ask myself what we’re doing. These thoughts have brought us to this article!
Remind yourself why you opened your business. Are you 100% satisfied with where things are? Could you grow in any area? Of course, we can always do better!
GAME PLAN: Review, Refocus, Recharge
- Review your mission statement with the team. Check in with everyone and ask for genuine feedback. Does your mission statement still hold true?
- Refocus everyone on the areas you feel you have room for growth. I am preparing for a February meeting where we will discuss the importance of retail sales and pre-booking.
- Recharge your team by giving them positive feedback on everything they’ve done well for the past x amount of years. Allow them to share their favorite memories with the company.
